In the heart of Givet

A town steeped in history

The hotel is located on the left bank of the Meuse in the town of Givet-St-Hilaire where the old streets revolve around a military-style church built by Louis XIV’s chief engineer Vauban. One visitor of note to Givet was Victor Hugo in 1838, who subsequently wrote an amusing description of the town’s unique bell tower.

When you stay at the Hotel Roosevelt on the Quai des Remparts, you’ll be able to fully savour the rich architectural heritage of the town, labelled as one of the “Plus Beaux Détours de France” (France’s Most Beautiful Detours).
